DevOps Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain scalable, resilient cloud-based infrastructure using an Infrastructure as Code approach.
• Ensuring the smooth operation of implemented systems, including preventative measures to minimize the number of unplanned downtimes
• Bring DevOps tools and techniques into the operation of the whole IT Infrastructure, using available tools to enhance the service and security of the platform
• Supporting developers by creating and maintaining scalable, resilient cloud-based infrastructure
• Taking the initiative, spotting opportunities, and driving positive change within the systems
• Driving CI/CD workflow standards and a DevOps culture across the wider team
• Contribute to platform architecture, design, and security

Job Duties

• Knowledge and implementation of Terraform
• Strong knowledge of AWS with IaC using Terraform
• Experience with pipeline configuration and best practices, preferably with GitHub
• Strong scripting skills for *nix systems (e.g., bash)
• Docker skills
• Working knowledge of Git
• Proven ability to code against REST APIs
• Strong knowledge of the software development life cycle, including testing, deployment, and release strategies and monitoring solutions
• Excellent communication, documentation, and presentation skills
• A good level of proficiency in English
